Dear Minister Ellis,
I would be gratefully if you could advise me on the aims and responsibilities of your Ministry of Workforce Participation. My particular concern, and that of the group I am associated with, is the connection, if any, with the new government policy regarding DSP recipients re-entering the workforce. Attachments:

Did I see Kate attempting to mislead you in her correspondence? Or am I just becoming as confused as they are with all their new legislations against us?
I quote from Ms Ellis's letter to Banjo:
"Participation in any services or activities discussed at the participation interviews, such as looking for work, will be voluntary. The Government knows that many people with disability want to work; this reform is about making sure people with disability get the support they need and know about the options available to assist them."
She is stating that looking for work will be voluntary for us who are judged to be able to do some. So why bring in breaching rules applying to our attendance at participation interviews, if it is still us to us to decide if we wish to work or not?
Why calculate hour many hours we are able to do, and in a way which is unfavourable to us, if they no longer care if we choose to work or not?
These disability employment places, will redefine themselves as disability management services. Their main focus will still mainly be to spy on, and study us, for the government. Their next focus will be to 'coherce' us into a job. Bonuses will still be granted to them when we find work, whether they contributed to it or not.
Management of our illnesses will also fall into DEEWR's master plan. Referring us to just enough medical treatments as to allow us to work, without caring how that makes us feel in our hours off work. The agencies involved in organising same, will mainly organise some kind of extra kickbacks or bonuses for themselves, in our treatments.
The severity of our illnesses will be played down, to enable them to allot higher numbers of hours against our names, bumping us up to 'higher levels of assistance'.
Both Gillard and Abbot strongly believe that we are all a bunch of lazy bludgers who deserve very little because we have left the workforce.
And yet Ms Ellis is now trying to tell us that participation in looking for work will not be compulsory? But attending an interview at an employment agency is. Enforceable by cutting off your payments, for as long as Centrelink, and your other agency, want to toy with you.
I think it is time we organise:
OCCUPY CENTRELINK

I'll be there in spirit Spacey. It's a good point about Ms E. saying looking for work will be voluntary. I'll query this, the last email took 3 months to get a reply so don't expect any thing back too soon. Edit: Ahh... cannot respond to that email. So how do I refer it when I reply to the notoriously slow in replying Minister Ellis? Hmmm.... Please find attached correspondence from the Office of the Hon Kate Ellis MP
Please note you will not be able to respond to this email. Is that so? Well we'll see about that.

Lol Banjo. I am serious about Occupy Centrelink though, and demanding the repeal of work for welfare laws, until such a time as the government can guarantee there are jobs for all to be had. Won't organise it in public here though, or we might be taken off the internet.

I dare say there are worse things on the internet than legitimate protest against injustice and the bullying of the disabled. Some of the better things that have been done in the last hundred years have been achieved by people prepared to risk their personal freedom through civil disobedience to attain their goals.

Yes, we really need to highlight that the government has cut down on the number of PWDs working for them, and is now forcing us to look for work... they really can't have it both ways like that. Either PWDs should be in employment, and they ought to hire us... or if we're not up to doing a job, even with the government, we should be allowed to collect our pensions in peace.
