New participation requirementsFrom 1 July 2012, the Australian Government is providing more support for people with a disability. Disability Support Pension (DSP) customers who are under 35 years of age and have been assessed as having some capacity for activities may need to meet with us for regular participation interviews. At the initial interview we will discuss your circumstances, goals and plans for the future and develop a DSP participation plan. We will also provide you with information about local support services that may help you progress towards your goals. The participation plan will be flexible and include activities that interest you. Other than the requirement to attend regular participation interviews, activities within the plan will be voluntary. Starting from 1 July 2012, we will contact you if you are a DSP customer who is under 35 and have been assessed as having some capacity for activities. We will invite you to attend your initial participation interview. You will not be asked to attend participation interviews if you have a dependent child under six years of age or are employed under the Supported Wage System or in an Australian Disability Enterprise. For more information visit humanservices.gov.au/dsp or call us on 132 717. pulse.centrelink.gov.au/new-participation-requirements/

Do you subscribe to Centrelink Pulse? Full of useful information showing Centrelink in a positive light... and guess what? If you have a warm fuzzy feel good story about Centrelink they will publish it. I sent one when they started but they must have run out of ink.

Banjo, I have been fully subscribed to everything that Centrelink or The Orwellian Human Services produce and I knew all about their ing changes to the residency or whatever. Fly in and out. No problem. They have declared war against me, as far as I can see. They have no understanding of the hatred I now have toward the entire government apparatus nor what I will do.
