I've used them regularly and never had a problem with them... booking, checking in or flying. You hear a lot of expats moaning about them but I wonder what people expect from a budget airline.

Starting 14 February they are flying to Paris (Orly), and at the moment they are offering fares for about 170 AUD from Kuala Lumpur to Paris.
You can get dormitory beds in Paris for about 25 AUD.

Does C'link offer unlimited portability to pensioners moving to France? I once thought about "moving" to a country like that and then sneaking back to Thailand.

If you do a few years in the Foreign Legion, they will give you citizenship and a pension. But you will have to run 50 kilometres carrying a 20 kg backpack.

Among the more bizarre destinations is Teheran, Iran.
The living there is as cheap as Thailand, the people are very eager to welcome foreigners and dispel the prejudices and fears that everyone knows about, you will very likely be invited into peoples homes for meals and to stay for free.
But unlike Thailand, if you touch the local women you will end up in prison or stoned to death (literally).

Many more destinations are on the horizon for Air Asia, with the same low cheap fares.
KL to Sydney is going to happen in 2011, it's just that Malaysian Airlines have been trying to block and delay this for a while.
Air Asia was talking about a 'base' in United Arab Emirates, with possible flights into the Middle East and even Africa - Nairobi was talked about. I'm not sure if this will go ahead.
There was talk about Hawaii, Los Angeles and even New York. Air Asia has just been given landing rights to New York.
KL to New Zealand has already been announced in October 2010.

I never get upgrades, millions of bloody air miles and I still don't know what a business class seat feels like.

I have used Air Asia many times & the only complaint was a meal on a flight from Gold Coast to KL,
When do the flights start going into Sydney?

Going aback a few months ago a lady from Air Asia was in Adelaide, saying that they wanted to start a Adelaide Kuala Lumpur International Airport Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT). She did state that she had 3 children doing their education in Adelaide. But since then Malaysian Airlines will increase their flights from March 2011. So i winder if Malaysian Airlines have out trumped them. Seeing i live in Adelaide i will keep you informed.

I used to like Malaysian, it left from Adelaide and you got a free nights accommodation in KL en-route to BKK. They got a bit expensive though.

L.B. Do you know of any hotels near the LCCT at K.L.
I have read a report that the Tune Hotel is not so good.
Any idea when Air Asia will start flying into Sydney?
Cheers Banker
