I double clicked on the "Insert" button but you get the idea. If you use an online storage like Picasa Web Albums it's even easier, right click on a photo and use Insert Image button on top of the box.

Just use the REPLY button on the top of the box to get more options, click "Add Attatchment" and it's easy. Just testing the 'Add Attachment' to see if I can do it. Picture is a view from my house during this winter's snowstorm in the Blue Mountains. Attachments:

In case some folk think all of this is an idyllic wonder. Yesterday, Tuesday, I went to a friends Son's birthday party. He lives in a fringe area of Talisay which is on the edge of Cebu City. And the wiki photo does not show the palatial dimension of the Talisay 'local' government building, at all. Maybe they do not know how to to do it! Where I was they have a central hand pump to get water. They have one toilet bowl for the community to which you need to carry your own water from the one water pump. But they have a Karaoke machine. And my other 3 friends from Argao cooked all the meals for the party. Cheers

So you were in Talisay last Tuesday near the city hall , what a pity I didn't know as I live only about 15 minutes away at Biasong..... All the best Itsa

All the best Itsa G'day Itsa, There is a place here in Argao that is built out over the water along side a pier where you can go and have a meal and or a drink of whatever. The biggest attraction for me was to grab a window seat and watch the little sea horses in the water below. Oslob is a place a bit south of where I am but they have tours to see whale sharks. I smile because it is probably cheaper for most Australians to come to the Philippines to look at whale sharks than it would be to go up North West Australia to look at them. I did not realise you are in Cebu City. We'll probably get organized one day and have a meet up. Cheers

How much for food Greenman? I give Gina 400 or 500/day depending if it's market day or not. Sometimes we cut it down over the last week of the month if we get short.

I had been wondering about selling stuff here when I reach OAP age. Just retain a share in a house to have a typhoon bolt hole and no questions asked Aussie residency. The thought was to sell enough to get a Philippines Special Resident Retirees Visa, which means locking up US$10k in a bank. It looked like a decent option when the Aussie dollar was almost the same as the US dollar.
5 years of renewing visas every 2 months would be about $3k. Then the benefit of paying no import taxes and duties on stuff I want to take to Isla, like my old trailable yacht, which is apparently subject to a luxury tax even though it is only worth only about a grand here now. That would save a couple of thousand dollars. Enough to pay for shipping the thing. I would have been out of pocket maybe $5k.
It would also mean not paying the airport departure fee when I had to come to Australia and not having to stuff around with new visas half a dozen times a year among other benefits. Like being able to help my girlfriend in her business 'officially'. I don;t know what the Philippines are like about working on a tourist visa (I'm sure just pottering around the resort would be classed as work) but I know Aussie immigration is pretty vicious on Filipinos that do their host a few favours around the place here in Aus.
But the dollar has dived so much I would not be out of pocket $10k. The world is going to pieces :-(
Meanwhile, I discovered the Filo word for 'partner/girlfriend/wife' is Asawa. It is apparently NOT Aswang !!!! (A few blokes with a Filipina might understand why that's sort of funny)

My problem in Asia is getting my size. Shoes is the worst, nothing at all in most shops and markets. Can I ask what size you wear? I seem to recall in Vietnam they found a neat solution to the footwear problem. What are you like cutting up old car tyres banjo?

Unfortunately the cheap Chinese shoe industry has destroyed the local cobblers. No matter the material used the work involved still does not beat the cost of a pair of Chinese scuffs at the market. A few years back I used to see the sandals with car tire soles in places like Laos and Cambodia.
