Again, i forgot to add that later on my lawyer got the entire file and i had nothing to do with it other than giving him my permission to get it. If possible i would suggest getting the lot as you then have it in one go.

But as I recall it was all quite easy. For me, too. I sent an email, returned a message and it was in my inbox. Alas, not for my friend. Good ole hit n' miss...

Ask for all documentation/information between the date you applied for the DSP and the date you asked for a copy of your file. very timely put in my request yesterday this morning an email came through stating "Acknowledgement of your Freedom of Information Request I refer to your request for access to documents under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (the FOI Act). I have taken your request to be for: '13th Dec 2004 - 12-4-17 for all documentation / information from date of application of DSP and todays date requesting a copy.'" this afternoon i get mail asking to call the lady handling it ,,, apparently my request was too broad .. tried to find this thread as i was not expecting anything via mail after that today, so now ive found it again ill go through but i thought the above was quite specific any documentation regarding my initial claim onward, it should not be a relatively huge file i would have thought however i did read someone elses replies

If you had a period of time when nothing changed medically you could reduce the timeline without losing any info.

Mine was massive, think 4 telephone books. The postage was around $80.
I cannot see that yours would be all that large unless you've been a serial pest like me or dobbed in as many times.

well i would assume mot definitely im after the initial claim form and assessors report where i was given impairment points and his notes etc,,, as well as all forms supplied from my drs ive lodged.approx 3 all up ...2 reviews and my voluntary esa form, unless any jobs ive had albeit not even a handful and a bit of study the latter not being so important ,, i have no idea if ive been narked on ever, although i went voluntary with that ESA in 2011 so that JCA should have assessed me under those tables i would have thought anyways or is an ESA and a JCA different even though they're both to do with employment as on the phone it was stated that i had a Jca done then as i i wanted to be referred to a job seeking place, was going to call her anyways but would be lovely to get the whole file to see how accurate it all is, figured i may as well worst case scenario prepare for and get everything to throw at them if i need to appeal anything, other than my whole file is there anything else ive left out from the above that should be included ??,,

If you had a period of time when nothing changed medically you could reduce the timeline without losing any info. i could most probably ask for it to go to 2012 as nothing to my knowledge has been added to my file since then except for a bit of reporting of earning from the few part time jobs ive have other than that nothing has ever been down as having changed medically ..only reviews ... that and hte asthma im not sure if i should put on it as i wasnt aware it could even be put down ... i did used to get before having kids medical certificates excusing me for looking from work quite a few times since i first started claiming some sort of jobsearch allowance... actually could that b on my file even though its 30 yrs old ...although i was on pps when i got my tonsils out not on jobsearch so that has never been documented on c/l's records only the few medical certs

heres hoping there is nothing ive missed.. after speaking to the lady this afternoon it was crunched down to this
All medical certificates on my file;
all Job Capacity Assessments and/or Employment Services Assessment reports;
all medical reports including Treating Doctor's Reports; and
my Disability Support Pension claim and supporting medical documents.
her words not mine,,
with any luck it shouldn't be that difficult to gather which logically thinking should make it quicker to get it to the door
unfortunately she did state even though it was for one particular payment the file could still be inches thick
if this hasn't covered anything that i should have how do i go about trying to be more concise,
thanks in advance

FOI have contacted me a few times telling me documents aren't available (separation certificates x2) and a my CMO review 2002-3.
They are though sending a review I allegedly had with the CMO six months after my grant date Oct.2000. My file's due next week. The mind boggles! Cheers bear

yep same with mine for the older ones ,,, the lady i spoke to was really nice nd helpful so if it was before everything was uploaded to computer for saving documents were most likely that damaged or faded if was illegible ,,, well oviously it never got saved ,,, as 3 of those would of helped give me points this time round that my dr still doesnt deem to be an issue,,, theyve changed their policy now cant get someone to pick scripts up you must go and sit there whiule they do it ,,, so looks like when im dying somene will need to drive me up ,,, spose he cant argue when he actually sees me like that though

Just applied online! Let's see if it turns into a debacle. Cheers bear. FOI Documents received today! Only tiny, 128 pages. I'll have to re-read it a few times I think! There's stuff in there that isn't in my hand writing, that's for sure. CMO review is in there for 2002-3, but it looks like someone tried to doctor the date to 2001. I was told at one stage I had 99 points; it turns out I only had 65. Liar, liar Does anyone know how the old points system worked and where sixty five would put you on the scale? I now fully realize why getting your file before going for UP is a must! Cheers bear
