So I hand in a letter to c/link to say I will be leaving the country, and my return date is unknown and they say I must talk to someone. Q. Which country are you traveling to ? Me. Afghanistan, Iraq, and North Korea. I wait to see his response. Then I tell him the rules say I have to inform c/link I am leaving and it is none of c/link business where I go. Q. When will you be returning ? Me. Read the letter. If it is unknown, it is not known. Do you want me to tell a lie and say a date that is not true ? At this stage he starts talking about '' portability ''. and as you can guess the interview goes down hill from there until his computer shows '' Error '' which he cannot remove. Luckily me raising my voice attracts someone who comes to his rescue, and stamps the letter, copies it, initials the stamp and gives it to me and I'm on my way out. Never argue with an idiot, As he will drag you down to his level And beat you with his experience.

I've always considered that our destinations are none of their business and irrelevant to our portability. When I had my phone interview in Thailand this year I mentioned I might go to Lao for a change of scenery and was sternly told to inform them as soon as I did. wtf?
