My Thai partner says the coup is a good thing, it will stop people from dying. I hear international governments are condemning it. I'd rather believe my wife's opinion rather than Obama over this. We need the same thing here in Australia to remove our corrupt government It remains to be seen whether her prediction that it will stop people dying comes about. What may happen is they may not die quite so publicly.

Hello from a wet Hat Yai
Amazing, the military is running a "people happiness" campaign and are just about to announce the world cup will be free for TV. this will cost them a fortune of course and they are also about to cut the cost of "basic foods" and are ironically buying the peoples popularity in essence doing exactly what they accused and sacked the previous govt of doing ie, buying there way to popularity
All that aside Thailand is the place to be for the world cup!

If you want to go to places like Hat Yai you have to expect to get wet. Enough of the Thai political situation as well... #closed
