Jason Picket ended up in jail for crimes, including skipping parole, he thought were long forgotten,. If he's since been released he's keeping his head down. Public servants consider themselves to be entitled to personal workplace privacy and this board strictly enforces that rule whether members think they are entitled to it or not.
We had a problem with Welfare rights recently over the inadvertent naming of one of their staff, along with the publishing of what they considered to be private emails, which has made me rethink their status as a fully independent body, but we will also respect their desire to keep the names of their people off this website.

I thought to myself last week, that if DEEWR instruct me to close down my 'corruption' facebook page, that I would cite their own rules back at them.
I had been informed that any false records created by either Centrelink or my disability 'employment provider' cannot be removed from the system. It stays there forever and I can only add a little note to say that I consider it to be untrue.
I will invite them to apply to me to have the comments changed. I can, and will, then take 90 days to process their request. I might even turn them down a few times first. Then I will decide that the guilty people can only make an annotation to any comment made about them.
It's interesting that they accuse the website of threatening them. I had viewed it when it was still functioning, and never saw anything threatening, just sarcasm and truth. Yet On-Q Human Resources accused me of threatening them, and Centrelink then backed them up by creating false records that I was being abusive towards their staff. It must be just one of the tricks that they use when they are in the wrong, and the client just won't back down.
To get at me, at one stage, Centrelink tried to frame my son for working, when he had been forced to quit his job and lodge a medical certificate. The medical certificate was not recorded to his file until many weeks later. He rang to process his form over the phone and was told that they had been advised by the ATO that he had recently lodged a Statutory Tax Declaration with a company, and therefore they had proof that he was working. They said his payments were suspended until they could investigate.
I got on the phone and asked for the name of the company he was working for. They could not provide one. I asked for an address or phone number, so that I could investigate more quickly for them. They could not provide one. They transfered me to someone who pretended to be from the ATO who confirmed that the Tax Dec Form they were referring to, had been lodged many months before, when he had started work at the job he had just resigned from.
I kept asking for them to put all of the above in writing. They declined. The person pretending to be from the ATO got very nervous and couldn't wait to transfer me back to the first person I had been speaking with. He was immediately rude and abusive towards me, and pretended that he did not know what I was talking about. I was rude back, and my son got paid.
I put in a complaint online about what had happened. The Manager of that branch was instructed to investigate. I lodged another complaint about his investigation. His report of what happened at our meeting to sort things out was that I barged into their branch abusing everyone, refusing to talk about it and that I was told that kind of behaviour would not be tolerated.
My own complaint sits next to his record in their file, that he phoned me early in the evening asking me to come in and sort things out the next day. When I arrived there, he asked me why I had come, and pointed out that he was a very busy man who had no time to talk to me. He then refused to discuss anything, and claimed that my son's payments had never been suspended in the first place. When I was leaving, I did call out loudly to everyone in there, that they should apply for their records under the FOI laws, because that branch was corrupt.
Centrelink head office was happy to leave the matter like that. Two very different accounts recorded. No result. No investigation into either the actions of the staff, nor their manager.
I have had two phone calls from Centrelink after 5pm. Both turned out to be a set up. Beware of any calls made after that time, they are not recorded into the system.

If you are ever told by C/L that the ATO has said this or that just contact the local ATO office and check for yourself.

Spacey, good information there about phone calls from C/L after hours, they are proving to be very sneaky and not to be trusted.
