Has anyone applied for temporary absence
If so what was the procedure and what did Centrelink need
I'm thinking about just applying under this point
-to attend to an acute family crisis (section 1212A)
But how would I prove that

They will want proof positive! As none of the other criteria would apply to you quantumranger a family emergency would be the only possible one. But; it will be a requirement for immediate family (mother, father, brothers & sisters) to have the emergency. A death perhaps; which should be able to be taken care of in the allowed portability period, in Centrelink's opinion or if portability has been taken for the year they may give you another four weeks paid. Trying to prove you are to only one available to full-time care for elderly parents would be very difficult to do also; as you have been living away, whilst other family members at home would be better aware of the situation. As I've said before, the government legislation is not much not than lip service, so as they are being seen to be compassionate, when they are anything but, to the common people! An Elite Disabled Athlete, who "Needs" to train OS, or want to go to an Anzac ceremony OS; no worries, and that is where the bigotry comes in to all of this. Cheers bear

So are you saying bear, that if someone wants to attend an anzac day at the bridge on the river Kwai they could get an extra 4 weeks? i think that would be good news for some. How would they know you didn't head to the beach instead though?
