Life on the breadline: Knowing what you can live without becomes an essential skillOne big meal a day means skipping things that for most are a daily givenName: Mick Smart Age: 32 Turning point: Was injured falling down a retaining wall as a work-for-the-dole contractor. Now suffers chronic pain and mobility issues and is unable to find work. Lives: Lakes Entrance, Victoria. After housing costs has to live on: $245 a week. The last few months have been quite a test of mettle – physically, emotionally and spiritually – with the anniversary of my injuries during work for the dole approaching. It serves as a reminder of two years struggling with chronic pain and the financial stress of being trapped on unemployment. Where being frugal means going without, while trying to save becomes increasingly difficult when accounting for medical expenses regardless of an incredibly small budget. Let me get this clear. Was he injured when working to keep the dole? Is he still on the dole? If so then this must be criminal human rights stuff. Surely a no win no fee lawyer would take it up. Made disabled while doing slave labor and then still denied DSP. I must be wrong though as this really is not believable. I must have misinterpreted it. ??

No I don't think there's any misunderstanding of the situation nomadic Senator Cash should be held personally responsible by someone. How can you be doing work for the dole as a subcontractor? Oh yes that's right, employ someone on a subcontractor basis and you are no longer responsible for them or their super, work cover, holiday pay etc. etc. All of that is the Subcontractor's Responsibility. C'mon Michaelea get a grip. You are ultimately responsible for this fiasco, economically, socially and criminally! Cheers bear

I don't even like the look of Michaelia Cash. And I don't just mean the expression on her face in that photo (though it is pretty atrocious).
Her Trumpesque hair style screams out: " LOOK AT ME ! I'M IMPORTANT".

A major weather event can do that to anyone, especially if they're already struggling a bit!
But most on benefits (I exempt self funded retirees and family tax benefits recipients because most can well do without handouts) are struggling more than a bit.
Watch out indeed, the blade may yet fall! Cheers bear
