l'm good at picking email scams but l got one a few weeks ago that almost fooled me saying it was from Hotmail Microsoft and it needed me to click a link to update and verify my email account or they will close down my account, it was a scam to try and get my password. l didn't fall for it. Plenty of similar ones saying they are from various companies. Two ways to pick a scam is that scams often don't address you my name such as "mr smith or mrJOnes' instead they say something like ' dear customer ' and scam emails often have spelling and punctuation mistakes while email from real companies the spelling and punctuation is all correct

I have a heap of scam emails that do have either my first or last name and those are the ones that nearly get me tricked.
I am so cautious though that before I open any email I check the sender and if it is not familiar then I do a little more investigating before I open it.....I never click on links in emails unless I know for sure they are legitimate senders who I know.
I am not very good with technology though so anything I am not sure of gets checked out by my kids first.
