Yes, of course, it's sad and should never ever happen but unless you have experienced it yourself no one gives a flying fc#k especially the politicians who govern this country. So the next time you come across a homeless person on the street stop talk listen, and try to understand, then little by little maybe the world will become a better place

One day there will be true anarchy in Australia. Not the anarchy via the definitions of punk, violence and what it's falsley made out to be, but a anarchy so obvious where it is impossible to live with the basics being so far out of reach due to a false digital economy, it will seize this nations mechanisms like an engine with no $oil$. ( cash as being the oil ). Traffic lights won't work, for example, because no one really cares to fix them, because there is no vision, the dream will evaporate as prices go up, jobs will vanish because it will be a case of to expensive to employ, too expensive to buy. Squatters will rule, in peace I hope, and no one will care a rats razoo if the AFL grand final is on, or the M Cup, there will be nothing to celebrate and Canberra will turn into a soup kitchen.

we could do it peacefully, even from today, pete57ad. No one votes in any election ever again until politicians are on the minimum pay with no side benefits. Then today's unemployed will be in charge.

But heaven forbid; no Mel cup? But maybe it could go back to a day at the races rather than the drunken orgy it has evolved into. Just another symptom of the current disease. Homelessness and the greed from the races etc etc is all related. $million footballers likewise with a CEO on millions. GO NORTH! and go back to Arden street also. The good old days need to return. Standing in the rain with a can in hand. BYO it was also. and no metal detectors to go through. need i go on?

The soup kitchen at Canberra, us serving the PM and the cronies cos he can't buy food cos everything is closed, cos the price of everything and no jobs.
There can be a M Cup, but back to the old days cos everything is broken, cannot afford technicians cos they cannot afford to live either AFL, play for the team, not the carrots. Go Blues !

Then today's unemployed will be in charge. I used to look forward and tell folk to write on your voter slip "None of The Above" until, years ago, a person told me that it was against 'the law'. Still like to see it though. What would they do if "None of The Above" polled more!

I'm guessing that's just banter, but in case it's not :
You can write whatever you like. But if you have not filled in the squares on your voting sheet in the approved manner, your vote simply does not count. They call it a "donkey vote".

I think you mean Informal Votes LD, a donkey vote is where they mark the paper 1,2 3,4 etc down the page. There are some religious groups vote informal deliberately. Unfortunately, not those associated with Family First or what ever they call themselves now. www.aec.gov.au/Voting/Informal_Voting/

i once did some scrutineering and saw things written that i cannot repeat here other than the first word, get. It's a secret ballot so you can write or mark anything you want on it.

Perhaps we could register a 'political party' called "None of The Above"!
