Gina and Twiggy think they have an exclusive right to the minerals they have stripped from OUR land. It is my land also. They are my minerals also. So why do these greedy corporates get to keep the lot. Gina made her 20+ billion dollar fortune off our land, a resource that is owned by all Australians. These massive profits rightfully belong to all Australians. In a society that was focused on the well being of its people this money would be confiscated from her and redistributed equitably.

Yes Twiggy wakes up one day and thinks it would be a good idea to make all 2 million welfare recipiants slaves with his welfare card and next thing the liberals are trying to do it, an unelection private citizen controlling national welfare money just because he has billions

THe funny thing is Gina reinhart said she reckons she would still be a wealthy successful woman if she didn't inherit the worlds largest iron ore mine from her dad, if she didn't inherit anything at all from Dad or born into a poor family l bet she would be living in the outer suburbs of Perth in a run down house working in a supermarket barley making ends meet

Well said ! The Commonwealth of Australia = common wealth.

In the 80's Bond and skase were seen as heros polticans sucked up to like Gina and Twiggy now, who knows if they had the technology in the 80's Bond or Skase could have come up with their own welfare card, maybe all us DSP's and people on newstart would now be on the " Bond card' Or the ' Skase healthy living welfare card" . Everyone now sees Skase and Bond as crooks but in the 80's they were treated with the same respect and admiration as Twiggy and Gina now but the recession of the early 90's bought them down , if we had another huge recession GIna and Twiggy might share the same fate

They are "old" money by Skase and Bond's standards and the establishment would look after them. Their fortunes are also based on huge commodities, they rode out an 80% iron ore price slump a few years back so they're pretty well bullet proof. tradingeconomics.com/commodity/iron-ore

Gina Reinhart doesn't look happy for a woman who has $30 billion, apparently the only time she ever sees her children is in court when they are fighting over money www.theguardian.com/business/2016/may/26/gina-rineharts-children-win-right-to-fight-case-against-her-in-open-courtThe liberals say shes a great Australian creating jobs and wealth for all of us, but l think shes probably just a greedy ignorant pig that looks down on the less well off and has no idea how people in the real world live and would probably be a total nobody without her inheritance, Gina's advice to the lower classes “If you’re jealous of those with more money, don’t just sit there and complain,” Rinehart wrote. “Do something to make more money yourself — spend less time drinking or smoking and socialising, and more time working.” A bit hard when she once said she would like to pay workers $2 an hour

No name calling please, her physical appearance has nothing to do with her attitude.

No name calling please, her physical appearance has nothing to do with her attitude. A comprehensive genome analysis would set the record straight on that!

It's usually my fault but not this time. The thread says Jordan Steele-John but apart from bears first post there is no mention of him at all after that. Off topic maybe?

Jordan Steele-John. He will be judged in time by what he does for the disabled at large. Or is he now a highly payed politician who will forget everything else other than his own personal situation like all politicians. will he only do things for those in wheel chairs also? I will reserve my opinion until his actions warrant one.

I will reserve my opinion until his actions warrant one. If his actions end up equating to his own words in the OP, Australia would do well to put more like him in government. Cheers bear P.S. Click on "see more" to see his whole post! "I'm inside the system now. I've seen how the sausage is made. And I can tell you that it doesn't have to be this way. We can break the stranglehold of big money on our democracy. We can close the doors of our parliament to corporate lobbyists. And we can cast groups like the IPA into the academic trash can where they belong. All that this needed is for people to come together and say enough is enough, we demand that you serve the public good and create a future for all of us. "Well I've had enough. I don't care how many millions they throw at me. I will serve the public good and call out corporate influence until the people of WA tell me otherwise at the ballot box. I'd rather be a one term senator than a career corporate servant. Because I've watched first hand as big money has robbed our communities of billions and then sent their talking heads onto our TV screens to tell us that our wealth will trickle back to us. Enough really is enough is enough and together, we can create a future for all of us."
