Hi Snooks, I wouldn't fret too much about being reviewed. The older you are, the less likely it will happen. I think they are targeting people under 40 yrs old. I was put on DSP at age 45 and now 63, have never had a review....but having said that, I have a poisor work history. is work history something they take into account in deciding who to review , is someone who has never worked or not worked in 15 0r 20 years less likely to be chosen for review then someone with a recent or long work history? or does it make no difference?

Anybody else know ? I only mentioned it because my work history is so poor.
Perhaps a disgruntled Centrelink employee might be able to tell us ?

I know there’s been talk about the algorithms that are used to select people for review, but I cant remember which thread its in? From what I remember things like overseas travel, work history, age etc do factor into the algorithms. Can anyone share more?

I would imagine the biggest trigger for a review would be working or studying more than 15 hrs a week. While someone should retain their DSP if reviewed they would have to meet the 15 hrs criteria. Also at higher risk I would think are people who are affected by changes to the particular impairment table they have been granted DSP on (ie substance abuse). Those not assessed under the 2012 tables as well.

Well the news of the Govt scrapping reviews has made me feel a lot better and hopefully now I can stop worrying. Can you imagine how much stress they have caused everyone and achieved virtually nothing. But I wonder what hurdle is next

I don't think it'll be hurdles though; more like ducking and weavin' around the pork barrells, a nd justfor good measure hopefully the two favourites will stumble, and fall at the post. Cheers bear
