In August I have to leave the Philippines to comply with the 3 year Visa rule.
For those of you that follow fares I would appreciate if you could let me know if you spot any cheap fares from the Philippines to wherever, preferably depart Cebu.
The reason I ask for your help is because whenever I have checked out cheap fares in the past, then thought about it and then reconnected to the same site even 5 minutes later the bloody fare has shot up.
So I figure and believe it true that airlines can track you via cookies when you visit their online sites.
Happy to do the same checking for anyone else.
Cheers Denis

I experienced the same thing a few years ago but was never sure if it was just all in my mind, or what.
I guess you could always use a VPN, and then clear all cookies, plus run Superantispyware, then pounce on the ticket from a normal internet connection...
Years ago I got a really cheap flight from the Phils to Singapore. The existence of many Filipina maids there must drive the price down.
You could always go to a local travel agent in Cebu. Believe it or not, they can be cheaper than the internet...sometimes. Just be very careful about the special conditions. You may fly to Singapore via Japan.

I think so also denis. Not every time but most times they go up. I often see ads in Bangkok Post paper for Cebu Pacific so will let you know next time but seems like only every few months. But almost free from Bkk to Cebu when I do see them. So cheap. I have always said that if you know your date and see one cheap, book it there and then and only once when I booked a year in advance have I later seen cheaper. So see and book is the way to go especially if only a few months/weeks away.

Same experience re price rises but; if you are definitely going to book leave the Tab Open and just refresh it after looking around some more. Worked for me! Cheers bear

I use SkyScanner to create an alert, it then sends an email when a certain flight comes up at a certain price on defined dates, it's been accurate for me when looking for flights but budget airlines seem to sometimes be problematic, mostly due to the additional charges that they lay on.

Just did a test run denis. Air Asia Cebu to BKK via Manila on Aug 7th and return on 14th is about US$200.00 before any extra's. 11 hours total to BKK and 8 on return. Mostly sitting in Manila airport I guess.

That's not too bad, as long as you have a good book and a pair of ear plugs.

Cheers Denis Hi Denis I just saw your post I'm like latindancer I use skyscanner a bit it passes a few hours. If you're looking for a cheap flight be prepared for long lay overs in various airports along the way. Which is OK as long as you are fit personally i hate them lol. For me i think you are better off biting the bullet and paying the piper who calls the tune, what i mean is none of us are getting any younger and what is a few $$ at the end of the day i think you are better off enjoying the experience rather than arriving at your destination feeling like a a sack of s### all for what maybe $50-$100 na mate go for it. All the best Itsa

LOL I'm just sh*t scared of negotiating these places, buses, taxis airports planes and people I cannot hear. I don't need it but I'm thinking of booking a wheel chair flight so they will pass me through. And I have been treated with the kindest regard from airline folk. Cheers Denis

Hey denis, didn't forget you. Amazing!. a few days ago I was thinking, not seen an ad for Cebu pacific air for months (maybe when I was away). But yesterday in paper wwwcebupacificair.com advertising BKK to Manila one way for 810 baht. Must book before May 13th for travel between June 15th to Oct 31st so in your time frame. Not sure if the same from/to Cebu but you can only check. I tried a date but the website was not working it seems.
