minime the best advice I have for anyone considering applying for UP, is to get their file under Freedom of Information. This will give you all of your information as seen by Centrelink. It's a free service, apply by email. Mine made really interesting reading, and if I'd had it when I did apply and chickened out; I definitely wouldn't have, not when having 30 points on one table alone. Cheers bear

A long time ago someone posted on this forum that Australia signed up to the U.N. charter allowing disabled to travel freely and live where they chose to. but while they agreed in principle they never ratified it. this means they never wrote it into local legislation. So if you lose your entitlements when you travel this obviously means you cannot do these these unless you can get free travel and living costs elsewhere. And of course they will argue that you are free to do these things but you will lose your pension. Meaning they are not allowing it obviously. It is one of the most hypocritical things these evil B's have ever done.

Yes we are free to do whatever we want and go wherever we want as long as its not on taxpayers money says the polticans living a millionaires lifestyle and $500,000 a year taxpayer salaries and massive taxpayer pensions upon retirement enjoying lifestyles of the rich and traveling first class overseas as long as they want, but if a DSP like me wants to go without food so l can save pennies over 5 years to afford to visit family overseas for a couple months l am not allowed to. Don't they understsnd we are not on the DSP by choice , no one chooses to live on $420 a week on the poverty line rather then having a job and good money

I think most, or many of them are aware & know, but are 1st & foremost only interested in their very own interests et cetera.
