My biggest concern with the Greens is their radical policies on some things and their policy making for very small minorities... for instance the policy that has just been introduced for transgender. Also having seen what happened here in Tassie with a Green 'balance of power' and how radical many of the Tas State Greens are I don't know that I could support them either. They appear (here at least) to be mostly in it for whatever helps them personally. I would have to say that in my personal experience the only party that provided assistance (once I actually realised I could get federal assistance with my claim) was the Federal Liberals here in Tassie. I contacted all of the parties and the first to respond was the Liberals. So I'm really unsure who I will actually vote for or whether I'll just apply for UP and get out before anything more changes... Nice insight tasjo from someone who has actually lived it. Thanks for that, though it does make the decision a little more delicate. I'm not against policy for minority groups per se; heaven knows some of them should have been done a long time ago IMHO. One of the problems I do see with them is the state based operational thing. It's a bit like having a bet both ways and losing anyways. Cheers bear

Already did my pre-polling vote for Greens. I think their minority policies are great but mostly their social policies and climate won me over. Labor's refusal to commit to increasing Newstart and other areas is underwhelming. Liberals as a whole are horrible and I am happy I left them last on one ballot and off the senate one. No one struggling on welfare should even be considering them imo. I cannot respect anyone who would do that.

Only 2 weeks to go. The grass is always greener on the other side. Btw, I saw an ABC Brisbane poll today that showed 64% will vote for a minor party!!! Things not looking flash for the despots.

My gut feeling is that the libs will be decapitated like never before. I am reading nothing on facebook good about them from anyone although maybe the circles I hang out in. No point in worrying though. Like the weather and exchange rates. If you have no control over it don't worry be happy. Although not happy to hear A$ lowest in 3 years.

I have multiple forums on this server so started over as Paddy to unify my log ins with the forum server. Lol Last sentence may have been harsh but I kinda stand by it as I cannot possibly comprehend vulnerable people considering the LNP.

My gut feeling is that the libs will be decapitated like never before. Yes, yes, yes ! I shall be relishing every moment of this election. Even in the absolute worst-case scenario of Libs winning, they will be diminished and the greens will still get more power. But I really can't see that happening. I wonder what is going on in ScoMo's tiny mind right now ? Still rationalizing that he may win, I wonder ?

If labor, greens get in that will be the end of Australia.

I've heard that before, from both sides of the fence. No doubt it will be business as usual with a few minor policy changes, history supports this.

End of Australia kind of melodramatic.
LNP has caused me nothing but stress and dread and I am sick to death with it...

I'm still predicting a weak minority ALP gov with the power to the minor parties. Already 2 million pre poll votes locked in from the angry public who are just sick of the drawn out election. Time to buy some popcorn and enjoy the show. Btw the two despots, scumo is worth 33 million while shorten's net wealth is 61 million.

"scumo is worth 33 million while shorten's net wealth is 61 million" yes Shorten has twice as much money probably because he married a wealthy woman, but there are some people like Albanese whose grew up with a mother on the DSP, so guys like him could be on our side, l guess almost all the federal polticans are filthy rich , even the greens, if we had a communist anarachist party l bet the leaders will all by multi millionaires also, none of them turn down their huge salaries and perks, they all grab as much cash as they can

They are all filthy rich people pretending to represent the poor & working class.
