Evangelicals don't follow Christian Doctrine. As such I think I would be much more fitting for Scott to be Pastor Morrison of the House of Mammon rather than swanning about thinking he's truly someone being PM of Australia, proselytising to the electorate about why they are poor and what best to do about it. Not that the poor have a choice, they just jump however high and still get castigated and penalised.
Nice heartfelt apology prodius I'm sorry you though you needed to make one. Christians don't deserve any special treatment, they deserve all they get and have brought it on themselves over the centuries; and yet like Australian Voters they still don't understand and have learnt nothing.
Right Bear, I guess the following citation is a simple and good way to explain it, also valid for more topics about the "Coalition dichotomy": The Shadow Ministers: Jesus, not Refugee-us link ("The Shadow Ministers: Jesus, not Refugee-us", www.youtube.com/watch?v=6KoqacuqBi0).
Now, more than ever, it's time to be patient, consistent and determined. Nothing is really lost, foresight and cold blood are essential, battles are lost, what counts is what is learned.
What is actually needed is to wait for the full results, analyse them, reassess, readjust the strategy (or plan a new one), and KEEP GOING. Hey people, isn't this exactly what we have to do with Centrelink all the time?
Easy to predict that the "winners" poor numbers will mean (again) internal battles within the Liberals (the far right is not gone), within the Coalition (with the Nationals), and fights with the so called independents, Palmer and Hanson, a "difficult bunch".
Surely, it will be very difficult to pass legislation, especially on controversial topics, such as tax cuts for big companies, more (hidden) cuts to welfare, education, etc.
Lets wait and see, a lot of things have to happen... and Morrison will need a lot of Tavor!
"Life is like a staircase. You have to go up each stair to reach the top", and then suddenly you could fall down!
Have a nice day, Leanne
