Hi, i plan on going overseas for a week or two but i already used up my 4 weeks paid
If i do this trip will my payments get restored when i get back tk Australia?
I saved up just enough to pay for my flights and enough to live the the Philippines for 2 weeks and enough to live in Australia for a week untill my next pay goes in
So all i need to know is what happens if i leave for 2 weeks and come back even though i used up my 4 weeks this year
And will it affect my 4 weeks paid a year i have coming up this November
Also how will this affect my UP application
Cheers

It will depend when you used your 4 weeks paid as it's a rolling 12 months.
If the whole 2 weeks are within 12 months of when you left first then I don't believe there is any impact on your 4 weeks. If any of the 2 weeks rolls into your next year's entitlement then you will have less for the 4 weeks later in the year but some payment for this trip.

Its within the first 12 months , my understanding is my payments will be suspended and restored when i let centerlink know i am back the country, then i have to wait a week because i am on weekly payments and when the next 12 months start in November i will good to take my 4 weeks ?

As well, you should have your four weeks again in November. The only reason I can think of about affecting your application, is if they need you for something while your away. If you haven't put it in before you go, it'll be apples mate. Enjoy; cheers bear

Just a hypothetical but what if he went and came back without telling them? They track us so who knows?

I believe the payment would be suspended as soon as he goes through immigration because he has reached his maximum time away. I've gone without informing Centrelink previously and while my payment has increased due to no earned income it has shown on my file when I requested it via FOI.

I am calling international tomorrow to get the word on the 12/4 13S 12m rolling code I mean i will call international tomorrow and ask all about this 12 month rolling , 4 weeks paid plus 13 weeks unpaid untill suspension, payments restored upon arrival back into Australia of within 13 weeks. Not sure on getting more in depth about this since im only going for a couple of weeks and its within the same 12 months as my paid 4 weeks so it does not concern me but im interested what are the limitations, would be nice if i could lodge my UP forms and bypass the JCA with a ATT order then get aproved for UP while im over there? Just shooting the breeze

Cripple, I would personally postpone your travels until your UP application is finalized. Then if you are granted UP you will still continue to be paid and not have to worry about the stresses associated with being suspended. I think the UP applications are usually finalized within 3 months these days as there are not as many applying.

I don't think suspension has consequences per se nowadays. Not when those who can afford it may take multiple extra 13 week trips on suspension at have an automatic reinstatement upon returning. It no doubt stuffs with their roll over; but in @ cripple's case it shouldn't. Cheers bear
