I saw this in another place nomadic . I'll make the same response here; "Stop the world I want to get off. I can't take anymore of this string theory multiverse living in a matrix crap." It getting all too much for a bear to bear. Switching off to the world though, is exactly what they want. The more that do, the more they will get away with. Cheers bear P.S. All of these hanger on-er's; Scotty's entourage so to speak.......does anybody know if they're just along for the ride, do they pay their own way, chip in for aviation fuel or what. I think the press brigade might contribute something. It's the likes of Gina, Twiggy, et al I'm interested in. How good is it he found a bigger plane as well, and miraculously, just in time for the big trip. Should give him and Donald hours of fun comparing notes on the size of different things. "Gawd almighty, that's a bigun Scomo.". "Yeah, how good is it mate; but no where near as big as yours; now that I've been up close to it. Air Force 1 it's huge."

Total hypocrite and arse-licker.. As for the faith community supporting this stuff the word hypocrisy was invented for them. The word comes from Greek, 'acting a part.' All of this Pentecostal stuff is recent, it has been imported from America, it more or less took off in the 70s when TV started showing American evangelical programs, then really went ballistic when videos were imported. They are fleecing the general public and it’s effective.. It's been said that Christianity died in 313AD when Emperor Constantine decreed freedom for Christians, then made it the state religion of the Empire and gave them heaps of land. They never looked back.

My advice to Morrison is to stop pushing his eccentric church on the people of Australia. I guess Morrison thought "It's worth a try" but the White House has taken a moral stance on this which is good to see. This kind of tacit tolerance of child abuse from the Prime Minister is not consistent with the expectations of Australia's tax payers. Paedophiles never deserve “A fair go”, even if they are members of Morrison’s Rock’n’Roll church.
This gives me a much needed opportunity to bash Tony Abbott again. When the Mad Monk openly supported Convicted-Child-Molester-Pell I was NOT at all surprised. It was exactly what I would expect from that strange and bizarre man. If Abbott had been given greater liberty I have no doubt he would have wanted to give Pell an honorary Knighthood.
Howard also publicly supported Pell. I still retain some respect for Howard, but I think he should have followed Menzies’ example. That is when Menzies retired in 1966 he did just that. He knew his time had come and stayed out of politics for the remainder of his days.

I'm going up in smoke......where does that leave me then? Awww, silly question to self bear. It leaves you dead mate; aware of nothing. At least that's what the Bible tell us. Cheers bear P.S. If the rapture hasn't happened before they die, that's where it will leave them as well. You've got to be alive on earth to be caught up to heaven apparently! And since no one knows the time of that happening; they are all living in false hope. Perhaps it already happened and they aren't spiritually aware enough to know which metapsychical they are on, so they continue to live on the earthly. "Two men stood in a field, one went up & one remained." Dickheads much.

"Two men stood in a field, one went up & one remained." Dickheads much.Gospels were all written long after Christ died, and were contaminated by Judaism. Anything the Catholic church says was written hundreds of years later and was largely political. For every statement in the Bible, you can find at least one, often a dozen, statements that contradict it. The Christian message was a complete break with the Old Testament Jewish religion, which had degenerated. It was revolutionary, which is why the Sanhedrin schemed and manipulated the Romans into killing him. It then took a long time and many different iterations until it reached the modern form, but it changes constantly, just because people essentially read what they like into it. Remember that it's not so long ago since Christians used to burn people who doubted. Essentially, you have to make your own decisions but don't feel bad about it, everybody does.

Keeping a clear conscience, listening to the voices whispering into my ear over my left shoulder was good enough for Jesus..... it's good enough for me as well. What he did was be himself, that is the way, the truth & the life he spoke about IMHO, and to follow him is to do just that, be our authentic selves; because giving yourself over to religious doctrine means enslavement to another's ideas, not the ideas originally implanted in the garden of your own individual mind. Anyhow stuff the whole lot of 'em; it works for me. Cheers bear

Impossible to convince them they're wrong,After 2000yrs, they've got an answer for everything. Except the charge of hypocrisy.

My dad always said you should never talk about sex, religion or politics. So not getting involved in this one as while the other two are real as yet there is no evidence that this topic is. I've had sex, albeit some distant memory ago and more recently dealt with politicians but as yet no experience with heaven or anything else so I'm happy to wait a bit longer to find out. Will let you all know when I find out.

Morrison is saying his request to take the Hillsong pastor with him is "gossip" and he is refusing to give a straight answer on this. Brian Houston is a used car salesman from New Zealand who went on to become a cult leader. Why Morrison thinks this man should be representing Australia is beyond me. I fear our current PM is Abbott Mark 2. We don't need another prancing snake oil holy man leading our nation. It is inappropriate for the tax payer to pay for his priest to go on an overseas holiday with him. If he wants to be a happy clapper he should do it in his own private space, it is always dangerous to mix religion with politics. Australia is a multi-cultural secular nation, we must maintain the separation of church and state.
