I have formally requested my information via FOI including my centrelink file and my previous disability claims. I have a feeling there will be info that they will not release easily... I am interested to find out if there is anything you can actually do if they deny you your info or if you just have to accept it. The reason I think they will not give me my info that easily is because of their previous psychs giving me false mental health diagnoses and exaggerating my mental health and denying my health problems.

I’m not really sure but I do remember a lot of names and even some of my own information was blacked out. There were missing chunks of information, conversation/reports etc from all sorts of areas of the file. They have the right to do that apparently with certain information.

Wow.. yeah I thought that.. even with a JCA you can not get the name of the person who assessed you. So as I found out you can not even complain to aprha about a health professional who has done something dodgy because you don’t even know their name.. just a code. Also I’m thinking because mine involves mental health and their psychs making up false MH diagnoses or classifying my physical problems under mental health.. they will say that I can’t have that info.

My understanding is that they will withhold any information they deem as being detrimental to our own mental health. Whereas they will make up things and report falsities on the outcome of our JCA meeting, that was the case for me, that is for sure.

They have narrowed down my FOI request, I was told it’s going to be too much for them to go through and I need to narrow in on what I want from my FOI request so now they have put that I am requesting- All documents related to rejected disability support pension applications including: -online document recordings -letters sent to you -applications lodged by you -job capacity assessments
