LD over a year ago I advised members to get one of those pens that can video record while in your top pocket, that way you will have your own evidence. Just be aware that some of them have a small flashing light that can be seen by the person you are taping, try & get one without the light.

One has to be on guard at all times with them Latin. They can be a sneaky bunch when they want to deprive you of something.
It is strange that they even code people as being abusive, when one of their staff members told me that you cannot have your payments cancelled for being that. I asserted that I had once been threatened with that very thing, and he again denied that they are able to do it.
So if they can't cut off your payments when they have driven you to become abusive towards them, I don't understand why they then inflame the situation further, by trying to set you up to do it again or record that you did when you didn't?

Ditto spaceyone, Thank you for sharing your experience of thuggery in a Centrelink office, I would never have believed it had I not experienced it for myself. Now this tallies in with what Rod Whyte wrote about in chapter one.... Yes latindancer / Banker, I am getting one of those spy cameras for Xmas, not telling which one though as C/L monitors this website. I think some C/L dags watch too many bullshit movies and conspire in the tea room to think they are some sort of Special Forces to save the Australian taxpayer, when in fact their conduct costs the Australian taxpayer by the very fact that the Australian taxpayer pays them to be absolutely inept. I have often noticed in the office that I attend that there are red safety helmets sitting on to of their filing cabinets, bloody load of wankers, if they didn't make so many mistakes, they wouldn't have so many problems.

Lol, yes, they drive people to their angry outbursts, and then act like we are 'crazy' to have become annoyed at them. A man went off at them yesterday while we were at our local C/L branch. I applauded him as he left, so he didn't feel so bad, and another unseen person joined in. I want to chase him to interview him for the forum, but it was our turn after him. They had kept him waiting, for an appointment for a medical assessment, for half an hour. He was the only one sitting in the waiting area, and they only called him in once we had arrived for our appointment with the same assessor. By the time he was taken into the interview room, we could hear him shouting about how unprofessional they were in making him wait for so long, and that he didn't have time to keep coming in there. He loudly asked at another stage if the girl could even read a radiology report. The other C/L staff kept rushing over to the closed door whenever he raised his voice, and backed off when he didn't escalate. In the end though, his interview was terminated and he stormed out of the building. I noticed on the assessor's note pad next to his name, the disability employment service who had interferred with all my processes. We didn't have a middle man, so we had no problems.

I think all of should just carry a large pen in our top pocket when going to interviews, it could very well have a calming effect on C'link officers if word gets out about the cameras.

UPDATE OF PROCEDURES After taking legal advice from the excellent services of the Queensland Public Interest Law Clearing House (QPILCH www.qpilch.org.au), it was discovered that "CONDUCT" in the context of a Judicial Review, refers specifically to procedures followed by a public servant, rather than the public servant acting like an arsehole, i.e., the Federal Court does not review offensive behavior of a public servant in a purported decision making process. Consequently the remedial procedure being embarked on has been revised to below: 1. The initial reason for the saga which was started in May 2011 by a Centrelink Complex Assessment Officer in Toowoomba deciding that legitimate business expenses of a business could not be offset against the business income, is now being persued by way of the Centrelink statutory review process which can end up being finalised in the Federal Court by way of appeals. Interestingly, for in excess of 6 months, Centrelink refused to provide the statutory and judicial authority for its decision, however that authority has now been provided by QPILCH and it has now become clear how Centrelink has misconstrued information provided to it in order to make a clearly wrong decision. 2. Remedy of the offensive conduct by Centrelink public servant "Craig" which was sparked by a simple request for progress of the provision of legal authority for the above decision at 1, is being commenced by way of the statutory pre-court procedures as required by the Personal Injuries Proceedings Act 2002 (Qld). 3. Since it is also contended that the Centrelink Office Manager at Noosaville, inititated a cover up of the "Craig" incident by blaming the Applicant and making a decision without basis affecting the Applicant, that decision is also now the subject of the Centrelink statutory review process which can also end up being finalised in the Federal Court by way of appeals. And they reckon that Centrelink take the largest slice out of the Federal budget??... I wonder why? centrelinkgetssued.com

PROCEDURE No. 4 As the statutory pre-court procedure requires the full name and address of the "person that caused the incident", inquiries have been made to Centrelink to ascertain the full name and address of the offensive public servant currently known as "Craig", (AKA NumbNuts).
