I don't get mine the same week it's issued. I get it the following week, after the weekend, when I suspect the banks aren't processing international transfers. From the official calendar. They'll issue our payments on Thursday 1 June. The date they expect us to get it is Tuesday 6 June, although it's usually here on the Monday morning for me; after opening time. Every 4 weeks regular as clockwork and I expect yours is as well, irrespective of dates. www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/payment-schedule-and-rates-for-people-outside-australia?context=22476#a1

The issue date is when it's issued in Australia JJJ88 , so not sure why a holiday in the Philippines would impact that; and the RBA sends local currency or U.S. dollars in your case; so not sure why a holiday in the U.S. would impact the arrival date either. Though granted, regular as clockwork isn't a precise term either when there's local holidays at the start of the week. My thoughts are that if mine doesn't arrive in a week after the issue date, I'll call International Services and as long as the ATM's still pumping out cash, then it's all good! Cheers 🐻

Yes Bear. Yes it was. I thought mine was a bit lower than actual exchange rates but we have to take into account the international wire fee for them to send it from the bank in the U.S which is US$25 then the fee to recieve the amount in local currency in local account.
The helpful Sir at International Services said that overseas it's better to have a local USD account to recieve the pension incase of crisis which may cause extraordinary inflation, or/and local currency fall or even collapse. Two countries that Sir mentoned was Libya and the Philippines. We already saw the pandemic which made a disruption to the financial markets.
Better to be safe than sorry.
Cheers

Bear by the way mine was PHP71,605.84
Compared to four months ago it has fallen substantially.
When I was waiting and checking for the credited amount, for a brief moment there was PHP8,888,888 in that account which was not mine. 8 is definitely a popular number within the region.
Cheers

Just did a quick check on your pesos and my baht on today's rate JJJ88. We both went over Aud$1900 and were within Aud$15.00 of each other. Guess your fee explains that. Cheers 🐻

Mate i'm not a fan of online digital banking and the transfers you can do. Stopped using it a while back because it would send bank to bank transfers twice when I would only send it once. Luckily enough the landlord kindly refunded the over payment otherwise I would have been up sh#* creek without a paddle. Cash is still king.
Cheers

Just to compare I get A$ 2,128 into my oz bank. If I was to transfer it in one go I would get just under 50,000 baht at today's rates less a few A$ in fees.
