Okay, after over a half hour wait on the phone, I got a guy who was quite abrupt and just seemed to want to get me off the phone quickly. He said it is not necessary to have my JCA looked at again as I am getting the DSP. I told him the ratings were wrong and new reports had come to light that would change this.
I asked if there was anyone else I could speak too, at which point he left me on hold and came back five minutes later and said he had discussed it with someone and C/L were not in the practice of paying for another JCA when I was already getting the pension.
He then said, if I was under 35 I would need to be less than 8hrs. This will be coming in. I dont get that bit.

I am going in to the office to put this too them again, I'm sure if it was incorrect and it should be higher, they would re-assess you in no time. By doing this they are blocking me from a chance at not being restricted by the 6 week travel rule.

If you were under 35, you would be on their list to be targeted for retraining, unless you had a rating of less than 8 hours. Being over that age, we won't be harassed quite as much. So he is sort of saying, don't worry about your rating, since you won't be hassled too much to find a job. However, C/L have upped the ante on having a correct rating, by applying it to travel restrictions and portability. Therefore, we have the right to be correctly rated, for that situation. Keep asking, or lodge a medical certificate and generate one automatically. * I used to get that with the Parent Line, there was a point where the phone call would drop out, if you did not comply with the things they expected from you. In the end, when it asked its final question about where to direct me, I would just mummble and speak hee bee jee bee. The operator will tell you that she can't understand you a few times, and then transfer you to a human instead of terminating the call. It works, but you sure look silly doing it in front of other people, lol.
