8.2.2 Reclaiming a Payment www.fahcsia.gov.au/guides_acts/ssg/ssguide-8/ssguide-8.2/ssguide-8.2.2.htmlGeneral requirements Most benefits or payments have abridged reclaim procedures if a person loses qualification for a payment or benefit and reapplies for that payment or benefit within 13 weeks of the cancellation. From 17 September 2001, job seekers returning to NSA and YA and, (prior to closure of PA) partners of NSA recipients who would have qualified for PA have abridged reclaim procedures extended to 52 weeks. These reclaim procedures include: * the use of an abridged claim form, * for minimum POI requirements see 2.2.1.10, and * reduced verification requirements. Muso again.

This is the part that I like. The executive director of Anglicare Australia, Kasy Chambers, has described proposals to save money on disability pensions as alarming. "Looking around for easy pickings - looking for people and interests without a strong voice from whom we can claw back some of the recovery funds - reflects very poorly on the values underpinning this public debate," she said.

It looks like the Business Council of Australia, have clarified the statement made by Graham Bradley yesterday. www.bca.com.au/Content/101795.aspxIt seems they think like some of us. the govt should stop wasting money on programs that give least value for money. Perhaps we should side with them and ask them for support to save more money by allowing people on dsp to travel os. I know it goes against the grain but they do have a high profile and a bit of pull. I just called Scott Thompson and left a message for him to call me. I won't hold my breath but I would like to know more about their thoughts. If on the off chance we can support each other the media would eat it up. Desperate times call for desperate measures .
