It will be hard to get hold of Centrelink for a while, the government told them to get all stops out with flood relief... getting people on benefits who have lost their jobs etc.
So while they're big noting up there, and I'm not saying the flood victims aren't entitled to all the help they can get, the rest of us will have to go to the back of the queue. So if you're trying to get through to them on the phone you know what the problem is.

My guess is there is about to be a lot of disgruntled flood victims out there and this will draw media attention so when they start writing to the papers to complain and say "it's not good enough" we should write and agree with them and add that their problems with c/link are not new, that we deal with them every day . I see an opportunity to help flood victims and pensioners that's all .

Indeed. Once again, high profile groups of people get taken care of amidst public acclaim while the individuals fall to the bottom of the system.
