I just got this in an email from a friend in Australia, Im not sure if its true but if it is its a Dam disgrace all of this money to some wogs that came to Australia illegally and they are getting more benefits than Australians. Three hundred boat people have been housed at RAAF Sherger Air Base in Weipa. All are being accepted into Australia. All are men. All receive the pension same as our pensioners - all get the same amount again for hardship payment - this equals twice what our pensioners get.
All receive fifty dollars a day for spending money. Security staff employed to watch them.
Chefs employed to feed them (one quarter of a tonne of chicken a day alone is cooked). They won't pick up their own rubbish. There was a massive dispute because they didn't like the radio station. Another dispute because batteries were flat for the Nintendo games. Tents set up for mosque prayers had to be air conditioned.
The Bores/Wells set up to run RAAF Sherger adequately are now dry because taps are left running all day long. Sewerage systems now blocked with condoms () supplied to them (and all of them are men remember)
Dept of Immigration & Citizenship (DIAC) wants Dept of Defence to pay all the bills so they can hide the costs of allowing three hundred refugees into the country from tax paying Australians.
Australia needs to know.
Congratulations `Gillard you fool’.
Please pass this on to everyone you know.

Something I picked up on the internet this morning: Veterans demand justice BY DAVID QUICK 27 Jan, 2011 01:00 AM MORE than 65 years after fighting his way into Hamburg at the end of WW2 former British marine Lawrence Lisney is back at war.
Only this time the enemy is the British government and his first offensive is to hand his war medals back.
Mr Lisney is one of more than 100 British expat war veterans engaged in a campaign with the International Consortium of British Pensioners.
Their target is to persuade the UK government to unfreeze their British pensions.
"We are entitled to have fair pensions - it is our own money we paid it in for years," Mr Lisney said.
Jim Tilley, Hon Chairman of British Pensions in Australia (BPiA), said British war heroes across Australia were outraged by the neglect from their mother country.
"British Pensions Minister, Steve Webb, was presented with a manuscript by 104 war veterans from around the world documenting their record of service."
"These British war veterans put their lives on the line for their country, paid into the mandatory UK National Insurance pension scheme and yet the British Government is unwilling to support these heroic individuals by paying them an indexed pension once they move to some countries overseas, including Australia," Mr Tilley said.
"It isn't just the war veteran pensions that have been frozen for decades, either. Everybody in Australia who receives an aged pension from the British government is in the same boat.
"We have one female member whose British pension is still what it was 35 years ago - it's now worth about $13 a week. The British government has the money. Even if the Brits put it on the table tomorrow, the cost would be chicken feed, less than 0.1 per cent of the British NI fund's current 50 billion pounds," he said.
"It takes more than 10 years of permanent residence to qualify for what might be a partial Australian pension. In the meantime, the expat pensioner has to survive on a frozen pittance income," Mr Tilley said.

The original post is not true Banker. Our government certainly puts Australians last but not yet to the extent of your post. Just right wing propaganda. The second post is disgusting. For any country to treat vets like that is a disgrace. Like I said Im not sure if its true or not and neither are you! None of us know what goes on until its too late. I know for a fact that the Vietnamese boat people that came to Australia were given a $10,000, interest free loan to start a business after they arrived, how do I know because I employed two of them at different times they did not know each other but they both gave me the same information. The point of me putting it on here is because nothing surprises me anymore with the Australian Govt & C/L The second one has to do with the British Govt, take a close look at it because the Australian Govt will be going down the same path. As pensioners we are going to be in for some hard times. The Govt will be trying to make a lot of changes to save money and it will not matter which Govt is in power. That is why we must fight this every inch of the way. As most of you know Im not affected by all of this, so why should I bother to even stay on this forum, because I care what happens to other AUSTRALIANS and I have always fought for what I believe in (Boots & All) The above is my opinion and not the opinion of DSPoverseas.

To be true to our original game plan we weren't going to have discussions outside of the Pensioner/DSP parameters. However we seem to have pretty mature bunch here so maybe the worshipful body of administrators may like to consider the formation of an additional sub board to discuss current events, recipes, eBooks, illegal immigrant myths etc etc ?
