Banjo suggested that dspoverseas.proboards.com should evolve into a Community Group, registered in Australia. This is a great idea. Perhaps this group could be focussed on mounting legal challenges against Australian Government legislation that restricts the free movement of Disability Support Pensioners, and other legislation that discriminates, oppresses, or violates the human rights of Disability Support Pensioners. It could be registered as a charity, accepting donations, with the money officially accounted for and going towards the legal costs for the legal challenges. Apparently, there is free legal aid and it is fairly cheap to mount legal challenges in the SSAT (Social Security Appeals Tribunal), and the AAT (Administrative Appeals Tribunal), but there are possible costs and expenses in the Federal Court and High Court. And it could be quite expensive to take the case further, to the United Nations in New York, which is definitely an option for Disability Support Pensioners if the High Court of Australia declines to fully recognize the human rights of disabled people. I suggest that the central ethos of the Disability Human Rights Justice Movement (DHRJM) should be based around the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities: www.un.org/disabilities/convention/conventionfull.shtml
