Hi all, Went to the doctor today to get some more Cholesterol medication. I mentioned to him that at the end of July I was going to Thailand for at least 12 months. He said " No problems, here is a prescription for 12 months supply "

I knew you could easily get 6 months but not 12 months. I had a win, because I had seen the Medication in Thailand for 1,200 baht ( $40 ) per month and here it's 12 x $6 = $72.00 for a years supply.

hi aussiebernie i dont know if this will help but just get a letter from your doctor or pharmacy stating you need all of them because you are going away for 12months i got a letter off my doctor for my medications just to be safe whichever country your going to

I've always had a letter for my meds, it's good to have but I've never been asked to show it. On another note the anti psycotics meds I need go for 116.05 aud and 65.05 aud a box full cost. I pay 6. We complain about a lot of things about the state of things in Australia but somethings are better than most countries.
