I got one when I last wrote within 24hrs. It was mostly automated as you say...but it did promise opposition to the budget (this was in May).

Why invade a country when you're already buying most of it?

I got one when I last wrote within 24hrs. It was mostly automated as you say...but it did promise opposition to the budget (this was in May). I bet there was nothing specific about it. Opposing the budget, yes but which part? Maybe they will oppose everything in it BUT the portability. yesterday I sent another email out to sen brown and moore, and cc to all sen listed besides libs, nat, but nobody had replied. why would they, they too busy (the Chinese are coming!) chasing by phone, can't talk to anyone, except the main switchboard, and of course that person knows absolutely nothing. But I'll keep chasing it up.

^ Good on you, I've been doing the same...but no answers. Contacted three of those I emailed over the phone. Got through only to the secretaries, of course noone know nothing, but at least the lady - from Chris ketter's office - was nice, and even though she had no clue of what's going on and might have a bit of Alzheimer as well as I had to explain her the changes a few time till she understood it... what is she doing as a secretary?... anyway at least she listened and didn't wanna hang up like the rest and told me she's contact herself sen brown. hmm, she probably will, but I doubt she'll have better luck than me getting anything out of her. I had a comment form the other one that what does it matter what the labor party does, they're in minority. So I'm supposed to explain to them why it matters??? what the f... they thinking. They are avoiding us, and as it stands at the moment the labor supports the changes. So what you could do now is if u already sent an email, FW it to a few others, (if not all) it's just one click ;-) Also you can give a call to them and chase it up. You can call the ones in your state on 1300 numbers. www.aph.gov.au/Senators_and_Members/Senators it might not help a lot, but won't hurt to remind them of the impact of their decision.
