It does take a lot to impress myself and my partner/carer but she did impress us... the things she comes out are more I think a Tasmanian Cultural thing lack of sophistication than anything else. Down here the contrast is huge... Tassies are on the whole about 20 years behind the rest of the country. Its isnt a bad thing but for those who have exposure to perils outside the state it can be tough to come to terms with. I still believe that if she can survive the next few months she will be a force to be reckoned with. The trouble is surviving uncorrupted but the Political Machine in the meantime...

I agree with you Banjo, she does not a 'polly savvy' advisor but finding the right one is the problem. Remember Pauline Hanson and how she got stitched up by advisers!!! Politics is such a mine field, you never know when the explosion can occur. The media is sharpening their teeth on her at the moment. She needs to learn the phrase 'no comment' and she might last the distance. But agree, hopefully she will be our ally I think she is the best chance.

email sent to her Senate ad. I meant to capture a copy for you but the thing disappeared after I hit the send button cheers I don't use their contact thingy. I copy the email address and paste it into my own email system. Always have a record then. It is the first time I have ever used the Gov't system and I agree with your suggestion. I just think if the system included a 'bounce' back type response like "thank you for your input and this is what you said" type stuff instead of "we have sucked what you have written down the memory hole and f*ck you". I personally think that a bit of honest PR (Public Relations) is important in a proper functioning society. But hey, I'm just a pup.
