Have your say about proposed changes to the DSPThe Government has announced that they are reviewing the social security system. In the 2014 Budget, some significant changes were proposed for people receiving the Disability Support Pension. Find out about the recent Budget changes here. Many of the proposed changes will require a change to the law, and these changes will still have to pass through Parliament. We have a window of opportunity to let the Government know what these changes will mean for people with a disability. The National Welfare Rights Network (NWRN) wants to talk to people who may be affected by these changes. People with Disability Australia and the Mental Health Council are supporting this research. If you are receiving the DSP and would like to have your say, send us your details through the information package pdf that is attached on this page under the image. If you are interested and would like more information, please call Gerard Thomas on (02) 9211 5389, or 1800 226 028 (from outside Sydney area) www.welfarerights.org.au/news/2014/7/17/have-your-say-nwrn-research-project

Last time I talked to G Thomas he told me he doesn't want to hear anything anymore about this portability. He said he has no time for this. So that's about it for WR for doing anything about it.
