I've now registered with the Parliamentary site and using the Bill Track function which tells me I will get an email when anything changes. Getting email alerts on any movement or changes to a bill you are interested in is a good idea. And I've just checked my email Banjo and this bill is no longer listed as being before the Senate but the Supplement one has gone to a second reading. Assuming I'm interpreting it correctly it looks like they have dropped No 6 for the time being, in favour of trying to get the Supplement knocked out (?).

Looks like the senate are using various welfare change proposals to negotiate what they want , so hopefully a bit of horse trading will see certain rules ( such as the new dsp portability ) held up . although im sure the bastards will push it through all dsp'rs may get a bit more time allowance ( some respite ). Also Abbots government are just about to cop the proverbial hitting the fan due to their sneaky fuel price increase which he claimed he wouldn't do , then may do , then would never do , and now is trying to sneak through . Palmer is fiercely opposed to it and i think the labour mob will stand with him , well Hockey states all poorer australians don't drive cars ( or don't drive very far ) so i guess that covers all pensioners .The usual high flying wealthy liberal party arrogance

Lhttp://www.aph.gov.au/Parliamentary_Business/Chamber_documents/Dynamic_Red?type=All Looks like the senate worked all night Thursday until this morning 2.17 am ( held up with the carbon farming initiative that Palmer party is pushing ) they adjourned today and according to the calender their back on the 17th November. Guess they look a the bill #6 ( including dsp portability ) then . Two weeks left to write a few more letters to the senators ( if it will do any good ? ) www.aph.gov.au/About_Parliament/Sitting_Calendar/2014_Sitting_Calendar

Hello Greenman Yes i have a funny feeling that they will hold off with bill #6 until after January ( as the Senate may not have enough time in this years final 12 sittings )then announce new changes including assessment for DSP'rs over 35 ( 35 to 45 years )then and effective at the budget ( May / June ) This is what mining magnates Gina Reinhardt , Andrew Forrest want and also Murdoch , of course the Libs #1 financial supporter . Eventually they want government to legislate that only DSP is paid to the very severely disabled , wheel chair bound or totally mentally incapacitated. They don't accept that any episodic mental illness exits , ESPECIALLY to anyone under 50 years of age. They are also are passionate that all under 35s who claim to suffer episodic mental illness are simply rorting the system and budging as refusing to work
