The SSAT overturned a Centrelink decision to deny one our members the DSP yesterday. Good news indeed.

The SSAT overturned a Centrelink decision to deny one our members the DSP yesterday. Good news indeed. Its good justice can still be found in the appeals process, but l wonder if the liberals will try to cut back our appeal rights in the coming years, wouldn't surprise me.

I'm sure that the constitution guarantees the right of appeal at all levels. What I have been told is that the system may be streamlined with several levels of appeal, like the SSAT and AAT combined.
Needless to say there will be no suggestion of streamlining and "fast tracking" being confused.

Yes that was a good result for our member Banjo, rarely occurs at that level, so obviously he had a strong case. I am sure you as I am, are pleased with the result. If they merge the two appeal courts, then I hope AAT people prevail. I felt that my evidence was considered more fairly when I reached that level.
