Well lets look where I stand at the moment.
I'm now with APM (Advanced Personnel Management) now my depression has really taken a hit, because of these people. I came to them one day, saying that I have been offered a place in Newtown Tasmania, with the new public housing group, all well and good.
But for what came next, I was offed jobs at three places:
One being an Australia Post Parcel Sorting Facility, on Google maps my employment agent at the time said it was a few block up from Pizza hut.
The second was with Bunnings Warehouse.
And the last was a corner store, I was told two things here, stacking shelves another time I was told it would be helping offload stuff from the delivery truck.
Now lets start with Australia Post, I can not locate a Parcel Sorting Facility where I was shone and found non where even here. For months after I moved in, I was given some line about how there was a management change over and once it was taken care of the I could be hired. When I confronted my employment agent about this and ask if it was one of the post offices ear by, she changed her story to being one of the two nearby post offices, but still nothing came of it.
Now Bunnings Wherehouse, please note that I did ask about this one a few times and I was told two things, first reason why I could not get a Job in the Moonah store, wrong store I was told it was in the Eastern Shore store. And the second reason, the contact no longer worked for APM.
As for the corner store, after a few months of BS, I went into the one I was shone on Google Maps, and while the owners English was not all that good, he made it very clear, he was not hiring. When you go in, its one of those tiny shops where you know its only close family who works their.
Just so you know, I had a little over $2000 from savings and a Centerlink advance I took out and trust me when I say, I blew through most of it paying the bond and getting my stuff here. There is a tone of BS behind that too, but nothing really towards what I should post here.
Look when it comes to job searching, I see it like this. Having accounts with shops like, Woolworths that coves the supermarkets, Big W etc.., Coles, K-Mart, Target, Bunnings, etc... and checking/editing them once very few weeks, fine.
Then looking in the news paper and a few job websites, and if and I mean if I find a job where I thing I can do it, call up or go in and ask questions, so far I have found a few jobs where the company had no clue about the job posting.
You get the idea, gather the right information and then apply for the job.
But still rejection their, told sorry but we are not hiring or they got someone better then you are, really dose not help.
I like to keep away from going completely crazy over this kind of stuff, I already have panic attacks going over stuff that has been happening to me at APM.
I've found pulling apart old TV and other outdated electronics, removing the components. Its a ewaste volunteering project thing I am doing, I've been finding the removing components rather soothing, but non the less, there are the stresses involved.
Walking, playing some games, but really I am still stress, the whole living here is costing way more then where I was before, but I moved here with little care thinking, JOBS! But that was all a lie.
I never really have problems getting into a place, its just getting a job, nope. And I am getting tired of people saying that they are trying to get me something.
I'm going to get back to cooking dinner now.
