Fly for ridiculously low prices!
Did you know that it's possible to fly for less than the cost of the taxi to the airport?
One of the cheapest ways to fly around Australia is to use the little-known Jetstar Price Beat Guarantee. By taking advantage of this, you could fly from Sydney to Melbourne for as little as $27!
As part of the Price Beat Guarantee, Jetstar promises to beat the price of any similarly-timed competitor's flight by 10%. Credit card and booking fees are also waived completely for all Price Beat bookings. So for example, if Tigerair was selling a flight from Sydney to Melbourne for $30, then you could use the Price Beat Guarantee to fly Jetstar for just $27.
The best deals on domestic flights are usually found when matching Tigerair flights. Tigerair often has very low fares, especially during sales. Some of the best Tigerair deals are available during the airline's "Saturday Flight Fever" promotions every Saturday from midday to 4pm (AEST). In fact, fares during Saturday Flight Fever promotions are frequently as low as $19!
As well as domestic flights, the Jetstar Price Beat may offer great savings on flights to New Zealand, Bali, Singapore and other destinations.
Find out how you can take advantage of this great deal:

Thanks for the heads up, sometimes I feel like just jumping a plane somewhere for a "day trip". $19 fares might make that possible.

You just turned up at the airport on the day of the booking and went where they sent you with a return flight in the evening. My ex once went to Perth with her grandkids for a fraction of the listed cost.

Air Asia currently doing some cheapies also. Have flown C. mai to K.L. a few times for 5,000 baht one way and saw yesterday for November for 1,400 one way. A$55.00. But still favoring Mae Sai at this point with a stop in the Rai. But a friend going to Malaysia next month may tempt me if our dates coincide. as usual I will know when it happens. Banjo, if you happen to be near the Wiang Inn at anytime can you pop in and ask how much for the cheapest room around the 11th. probably the usual guest house but it was getting run down last time so may have a treat. don't go out of your way though as not important. cheers.

more amazing flight prices. Friend of mine booked three months ago with air Asia from Bangkok Melbourne return for A$400.00. So i decided to look in same month as him yesterday and got K.L. to Mel one way for $300.00 plus A$100.00 to get to K.L. So he got return for same as i got one way. The deals are really amazing when you get lucky. And i thought mine was cheap. Moral of story as usual is book as far in advance as possible.
