Every member that has contact with Job Centers or worries they may have in the future should download a copy of the Unemployed Workers Rights Guide.
Any SA members feel like going along to the meeting? Could be interesting and a chance to meet like minded people in person rather than online.

The number one thing to remember is never sign their privacy waivers. They will insist you have to, but they are wrong.

Great idea and I have downloaded the booklet. Thanks BanjoThe real problem for the unemployed is that there are no jobs for them. Anyone that 'bashes' the Unemployed or DSPers is a tool of 'the system'. A small aside, but the other day I saw a post on Whirlpool Forums about UP. Someone was checking with the pool about living overseas on the DSP. The post can be found here forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2436911A couple of smartalecs jumped in with "I'll go on DSP and live overseas as well". I was pleased to see they got rapidly smacked, even by non DSP recipients. But what it reinforced for me is that there is a lot more people that are sympathetic to the Unemployed and folk who need the DSP than I may have previously thought. So yeah, I hope they get a good roll up from everyone.
