I believe there have been people, (banjo may know for sure), cut from DSP when applying for UP but probably because they hadn't been reviewed since before 2012 and their applying bought it to Centrelink's attention. Only a guess though. But as usual tread carefully as they are heartless as we all know. But if reviewed in 2016 you should be fine one would think.

I just want UP so I can live overseas. I have really bad depression and anxiety. But like relaxing overseas. Not sure which location though.

I just want UP so I can live overseas. I have really bad depression and anxiety. But like relaxing overseas. Not sure which location though. quantumrangerI received DSP in October 2010 and then applied for and was granted UP in 2013. The main reason for requesting your file is to refresh your memory and find out what C/Link have got recorded correctly and what they have got wrong. As also pointed out you will learn what points you have been allocated because you do need a full 20 or more points on one table and not have a work capacity greater than 2 hours. So, unless you know this information from your 2016 review then it is best to find out where you stand before actually proceeding with an application for UP. That you have a carer I would be a bit careful because, as far as I know, your carer does not automatically gain UP to be with you if you gain UP. And in all honesty they can decline your application for UP on the basis that you need a carer now and we are not going to give your carer UP so in your best interest we will not allow you UP as and until you can show how you will be looked after at your intended overseas destination. All I'm saying is be careful of how you go about applying for UP. All the best.

Your file may also reveal things they should have told you but didn't. It took my lawyer 5 minutes once he got my file to see things they should have revealed 8 years prior. Likewise if bear had of known 4 years ago what he knows today he would have been dodging the isan rockets 4 years ago rather than only this year. So the advice from all is the same it would seem. Cover your back.

I will give you 1 Tip Do not go to a remote are You will get more depression and anxiety Stick with areas where you can socialise with other people That way you will keep your depression and anxiety levels down I chose Chiang Mai, i like it here plus have many friends Plus i know people if other areas We are all different not all from the same mold

this is my area of expertise ghosty. what is your budget is first question. From $10.00 up. $20.00 where bear and i stayed recently was good 1 star or $40.00 with pool and good buffet breakfast. Hundreds of options. OOPS!. Middle of high season so could all be higher. depends which area you want to stay also.

Cruise the hotel sites like hotels.com, booking.com, expedia, agoda etc, get the best place at the best promotion price. Just saw an article saying higher rates kick in in November when the Europeans fly south for the winter. It's not as busy for traditional tourists as it used to be, you may still get a bargain in January if you book early.

It depends on where you want to stay Your budget is a bit low for our High Season But you may find a guest house at that price Forget a Hotel as prices are higher at that time As Banjo said look at all the web sites If you find what you are looking for message me I will tell you if the area is ok As you do not want to travel too far daily Seeing i live here permanently

I have seen flights often advertised from BKK to cebu for A$60.00 one way on many occassions in the Bangkok Post paper. Usually the book by and travel dates are limited though. Not sure about getting to Chiang Mai. But depending on how rough you want to do it you will always find accommodation for less than A$20.00 even in high season. Think box with a fan and share toilet. But in Jan air con is not needed anyhow.

Travel broadens your mind and travel in Laos even more so. So many stories on this trip of Centrelink type insanity. But for now the visit to bank to change A$100.00 in Laos Kip. I walk in and the nice girl asks what i want and then gives me the form to fill in and an auto queue number 41. So i fill it in and sit down with number currently on 27. But with 5 people behind 10 counters how long can it take? So after 20 or more minutes still on 27 but with people just going to windows i start thinking maybe they will not even change A$. So after another 20 minutes i decide to walk up to a girl who hasn't served any of the other 20 or so people waiting in 10 minutes. So i ask her if they change A$ She looks at it for a few minutes and gets on computer and says yes. And does it. So after almost an hour i get my kip and screen is still showing 27. It is thus compulsory to drink beerlao +++ in this most illogical country on earth. One bus trip of 125 kilometres took 4 and a half hours as for no logical reason bus traveled at no more than 20 k's an hour for many periods of time before getting up to 70 or 80 at times. And the locals sit back and say nothing as i fume. They even make Clink seem logical at times. OK maybe not.
