No disrespect to people on Newstart but over the years I have often wondered how many folk that are on Newstart have turned to crime just to survive. Plenty I would say Denis and I'm not so sure that they can be blamed especially if they have a family to support. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying crime is fine but what is the alternative for some I've warned against this happening in a few posts over the years, including submissions to the Senate Committee.

No dissing taken Denis-NFA but I for one have done what I have had to do to survive. No I haven't committed offences against society as such but; society had already deemed I was a criminal. Cheers bear

As i have said before, people stole a loaf of bread in England 200 years ago to survive. Nothing has changed. Now Australia ships out some of the poor to Nauru and Manus Island. 200 years ago the bread thieves were sent in chains to an island now called Australia. Now days they also chain up the disabled so they can't leave also.

Not to mention peddling soft drugs like marijuana. Or harder, for that matter.
The system makes it an easy option.
