I also have often thought about this resentment, is it because they are jealous, don't know how to go about it, or what? Oh they know that we have it better in S.E Asia ,the problem for them is they're afraid to leave their comfort zone (They haven't got the balls)

In terms of money flowing in and out of Australia due to pensions, Australia is in the Black. More money comes into Australia from people living here on overseas pensions than money leaves from people living overseas on an Australian Pension.
I think this article mostly deals with overseas workers coming to Australia and sending their earnings back to their families abroad. Australia will always lose in that equation. I do personally believe foreign workers should NOT be given jobs in Australia if there is an Australian there to fill it. I will stretch that thinking further by saying that foreign entities should not be able to buy up Australian properties/land while there is a SINGLE homeless Australian on the street. This perverse situation is very easy to see in Sydney's Woolloomooloo. On the King's Cross side there is the Talbot men's shelter and hundreds of homeless sleep rough in the alleys around there. Just 200 metres away from this Skid rowe are some of Sydney's most exclusive properties like the Harbourfront apartments at Cowper Wharf Road. Most of these properties are owned by Chinese investors and are perpetually vacant. Hundreds of exclusive foreign-owned properties just sit there empty, while an equal number of real Australians endure cold nights on the streets just a few hundred metres away. These kinds of things make me angry.

It seems to me to be an unsolvable situation unless we totally go back to 40 years ago in every way 100%. Just one example is that people in Oz are complaining there are not enough doctors so they entice doctors from overseas with high wages. So where I am it is not unusual to see 100 people waiting all day to see the one or two doctors at the local hospital. But they never complain while Australian who has 100 times better health facilities, especially, in country towns moan and demand even better again. Why should people in Australia get treatment while others suffer? ONly a world United nations government who govern everyone can fix all the problems. And it ain't gonna happen. One government, one world. IMAGINE there are no countries. With due credit to John Lennon who was years ahead of his time. All you youngsters take a listen. www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOgFZfRVaww
