I believe a British passport holder has automatic eligibility to reside in the Carribbean nation of the Cayman islands without the need for a visa.
If I was approved for unlimited portability on my disability support pension from Centrelink how feasible would it be for me to relocate to the Cayman islands??
I'm a dual national of Australia thru birth and the republic of Ireland thru my mother's Irish citizenship.
However my dad was born in Northern Ireland so for reasons I won't go into my parents and I held a British passport for a overseas trip when I was a young child.
Correct me if I'm wrong but The United kingdom would have a record of me applying and receiving a British passport even if was over 30 years ago.
Just asking, I heard that the British Commonwealth nations in the Carribbean can be great places to retire. But to be honest all I know of The Cayman islands is from Hollywood films like the firm and even then I have no idea about cost of living expenses or potential health care benifits made available to British citizens

Magic idea. I got this link for you to look at. It compares cost of living between cities. I got Georgetown Cayman Island and Sydney. Didn’t know what city you wanted to compare to so I chose Sydney but go and put in the city of your choice. It’s a great site and wonderful for day dreaming. Go enjoy yourself. www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/compare_cities.jsp?country1=Cayman+Islands&country2=Australia&city1=George+Town&city2=SydneyOk so I went and had a think. You can get an EU passport so compare Portugal. I know for a fact they have a very good medical system and the cost of living is quite cheap. Put in a few cites and check it out. I thought the Caymans was expensive. Portugal is safe, friendly and cheap with good medical care and fantastic beaches, plus many speak English.

OK I'm being most facetious here; but probably only till your coding skills get up to speed. Then you can probably go live wherever you want!!
