Whats the requirements to be assessed as not treated as a member of couple using section 24 Please share your experiences with doing a section 24 Does this involve being married to or living with a partner outside of Australia? If so you can apply to Centrelink for an exemption to being paid as one of a couple under Section 24 on the grounds that your partner has no income or assets. In the past they have been pretty good about this, the pensioner can continue being paid as a single person because their partner has no income and is not eligible for benefits.
