For some reason I cannot stream the live ABC channel on YouTube. Before I would alternate between Australia Plus channel 164 on pay TV and streaming it live on YouTube all depending on what news and programs were on. But for a couple of weeks I have gone to stream it, it loads and it says "An Error Occurred, please try again later". Everything else I watch on YouTube works though, is anyone else having the same problem?

Thanks bear but your embedment does not work either it says; "The webpage at www.youtube.com/embed/W1ilCy6XrmI?wmode=transparent&start=0 might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address." Also I just tried playing it via YouTube again via 2 different internet connections and still the same thing. But other ABC videos seem to be playing just not the live News channel. Seems strange, will have to put up with it for now I guess. cheers JJJ88 |

JJJ88...Still working for me both here and YouTube. Do you use a VPN?? If not; you could give one a go. The Government may have put it on a banned list over there recently; being as it's a live feed. Opera browser has a built in free VPN or see if a trial version fixes it. Cheers bear

Australia is a representative democracy not a communist country last time I checked, I'm sure they would have abolished the ABC if it was a communist network as it is government funded. Nothing to do with brainwashing, Murdoch's sky news and the alike takes care of that for the far right TBH. Some people overseas watch the ABC simply to keep up to date with current events in Australia not for the ideology. Yes being free, common sense and think for yourself I agree and are good things in this day and age. We are all free to think IMO.

Nice out saying you've given up watching TV however, it now begs the question of just how exactly do you get your information to enable thinking for yourself in a critical manner that enables using commonsense to make informed decisions on what's happening in your local area, state or federally.
YouTube? Conspiracy theory websites? Voices in your head? Listening to acquaintances? Social media? Radio, if so.which.stations? How do you do it?
Everyone has bias....the question is whose bias do you prefer? In this world of 24/7 information overload, how are normal everyday people with limited time, expected to suddenly become trained experts, able to make informed rational decisions because, ALL of the news is scripted to push a particular narrative; either for or against a particular issue.
Well i don't buy into either of those options until they've both been given a healthy dose of skepticism; after seeing the issue from as many different sources as possible. To do anything else would be doing myself a great disservice and show me up as just one more ignorant bigot! Cheers bear

Just using common sense and independent news, from all over the world. I certainly don't watch Soros founded fake news, which are at least 90% of mainstream media. I'm not watching any conspiracy theorists and by the way that's just a COMMUMIST and GLOBALIST name for anybody who has different opinion. Use your brain, do some research and you will find plenty of free media. It's not easy because of censorship, but it's possible.
