I haven't done an update for a while so... Just got my latest bill today which is 2541.35Php (AUD$69) for the month. Using just under 8kWh per day at a cost of 10.633 per kWh. Still cheap coal from Indonesia. Jeeeezz you must be burning candles down in Argo, if your lecky bill is only that amount, I'll be happy if mine stays under Ph 5000 Pesos. What is the secret go on tell me, mate... Cheers Itsa

You can get thermometers which will record lowest temperature and lots of times we don't need it as low as we think we do. good luck

I've just received my lecky bill today it was PH 4485.78 Pesos, not too bad as long as it's under 5k.
I'm thinking of getting some solar lights/panels to reduce the bill even further, at the same time helping the environment 🤔
Cheers Itsa😊

Be easy enough to rig them up for inside. The main drain on the power is aircon though, I'm not sure that solar would run one. Be worth looking into.

Solar lights are the bomb Banjo and yes, you can power an A/C system with solar panels. The size of the unit and other factors will determine the number of panels and inverter required to power the system. It's all about the math...... but you'll need battery backup for night time use.

I only run fans these days with an evaporative air con that I top with cool water and freezer blocks. Itsa, I investigated the whole solar/battery combination years ago. You might need to do some research to find out what your electricity supplier thinks about solar. I can send you my files which are just internet connections like this How to Run Air Conditioning On Solar PowerAdequate reliable batteries are you biggest cost but instead of solar I'd be tempted by wind to trickle feed the batteries if you have the space (which isn't much) - Small Wind Electric Systems The Philippine Government used to give some sort of financial subsidy for wind/solar but I think that meant spending more money than you wanted to. I'm on my second refrigerator which is now an inverter type. You could probably use some ice chests (esky's) to empty your current refrigerator and see if it makes a difference..If you read your meter first and keep it turned off for a couple of days. Good luck Inverter fridge. Denis-NFA
