If you receive Disability Support Pension (DSP), you may need to get your doctor to complete a medical report at certain times, like when you are doing a new claim or have a review for your DSP. Your doctor can now complete and submit medical reports for DSP electronically instead of filling in the paper form. They will need to be registered with Medicare’s Health Professional Online Services (HPOS). The Medical Report – Disability Support Pension form can be completed and submitted online by your doctor. They can even save a report that is not finished for up to 90 days if you need to go back to see them or get other information. When the doctor submits your medical report, it is sent through a secure channel and automatically links to your Centrelink record. Your doctor can print the completed form if you need a copy or to keep on their records for you. Using the online form saves you time, since you don’t need to return the form to your Centrelink Service Centre. If you need a Centrelink Medical Certificate, your doctor can also do this online from December 2011. Go to humanservices.gov.au to find out more about Disability Support Pension or Online Services that can help save you time. Doctors can find out more by visiting medicare.gov.au pulse.centrelink.gov.au/centrelink-forms-online-save-you-time/

my neurologist is a dinosaur he doesn't even have an email and still writes patient notes in a folder. The fax machine is from the 1970'S was white at one stage but has now faded a dull yellow. His electro magnetic equipment looks like a sonar fitted in world war 1 subs. Apart from that he still charges $500 an hour Dont think he will be subscribing to online processing.

That is understandable. It cost that much to run a WW1 sub.
