OAP living overseas. 26weeks overseas back to oz even 1 day then out gain 26 weeks no questions asked... YAY

It's just an off the cuff remark by someone with no idea. If they were bringing us into line with the OAP on portability then all DSP recipients could travel indefinitely. Maybe she meant in the payments we would receive while away.

Agreed it was a face saving comment because she didnt know about the new law. I spent the day in tweed heads at a clinic before Sydney and I must say I liked it! You can limp your heart out because every one else does in pensioner city. No need for a pension card either, just pull your shorts up to just under chest height and wear white shoes and you automatically get concession. The granny line dancing at twin towns at 4 pm was a hoot Just reported my departure, no probs at all.

Go to the Tweed Heads Golf club for the Buffet lunch, best Buffet I have ever been to & take your pension card for Discount. ;D Stay away from the line dancers mate, thats what put Banjo on a pension
