Does anybody know how much any Job Provider gets for managing a job seeker, both regular and DES ?
Are they paid when they find work, or are they paid per appointment ?
Im asking because my local JSP, seems to have a many staff that take only a few appointments per day, something like every other hour. In a day they might take 4ish appt each or something really small. I cant figure out how they afford to pay for the fancy building and wages...

i think i posted somewhere here that i looked at setting up such a business some years ago.
they get allocated money per visit.
its a c/l outreach run via DEWR....
its how KRudd's wife made the millions....
don't know what happened with it but her company even looked at exploiting the UK system as well.
Easy money if you can get it

I would imagine they would deal with a lot of people on the phone once the original assessment is completed.

I wouldnt be surprised if all JSP are run by friends of politicians in some form. You have to wonder when its impossible to complain about them. The complaints people are another firm "hired" by the government to manage complaints.. All they do is relay messages from you and the JSP... they do nothing in between.

Banjo: Not quite, when i have been in there, they rarely get calls. If this same pattern continues for other times of the day they wouldnt get more than 4 calls a day at best. Then again, how can they make money from taking calls ?

Then again, how can they make money from taking calls ? I believe they get a base single payment for each "customer" then a bonus for when they get a job.

I think they get paid $1,500. for each new client, then if the client misses a appointment he/she is sent back to C/L and they start the process all over with that person being treated as a new client again another $1,500. then if they find employment they get paid another $1,500.
A lot of this was investigated by spaceyone.

Hi Loopo, the reason being that these"idiots" get quite a good whack out of cl for each client. I think about $2,500. So that`s why they don`t want you to leave in a hurry.

I suspect that if you become too much trouble for them they very quickly return you to Centrelink with your file stamped "uncooperative" or "no desire to work".
