Hi, I have dual disability. The disability with the most impact is schizophrenia 20 points from the old tables, and intellectual disability with an IQ of 72 which puts me in the borderline range. I have 10 points for that which gives me a total of 30 from the old tables. I am curious if I will still be eligible for the pension under the new tables? I rang centrelink and they said both disabilities will be combined together under the new tables, is this true in the case of intellectual disability and schizophrenia that they combine it as one? Thank you for any information

As I've said before, we're really not qualified to assess people. I'd say that you would qualify but you will need to get your reports from medical professionals organised. I thought IQ testing had largely been discredited anyway.

That doesn't sound right. Schizophrenia would fall under table 5, Mental Health Function. The IQ thing should fall under table 9 Intellectual Function. See www.comlaw.gov.au/Details/F2011L02716 for more info.

Good Luck with that Prodius; but they toatally ignored my psych disorder at my second assessment for Indefinite Portability, and evaluated me how they saw fit! Even though it was my over-riding main factor as to why I got DSP in the first place... It seems, that the rules change with every new applicant, or they restructure them to suite? Good Luck and Welcome mate:)) Cheetal...
