As usual I have pointed this person towards the forum for some advice.
Dear Sir Madam
I am on the disability pension and feel shocked that in now in 2013 I can only travel for up to 6
weeks overseas. Can this legislation somehow be overturened? The grens may help.
Why can centrelink not leave the old arrangement of 13 weeks!! This is so wrong
I only enjoy a little happiness and cheaper costs going to Indonesia. Now I can stay only 6 weeks.
Also can you find out if one is a resident in Australia since 1990 when they qualify for the old age pension in 2013
if they travel overses after the age pension has been granted they must wait then 2 years if they return before
they can go overseas again??
Or is tis new regulation only for clients who just returned to australia who were not lomg term residents before??
Please help me please our freedom is being taken away. I am already over sixty years of age
and I am shocked and severly distressed that I am restricted to go on holidays overseas!1
