I just realised it how disgustfully contradicts this 6 w policy. I can receive 63 days/year respite days. "You can still receive Carer Payment for up to 63 days in a calendar year when the person you care for: is temporarily out of your care or is in hospital." www.humanservices.gov.au/customer/enablers/centrelink/carer-payment/eligibilitySo if I am eligible for the 63 days, who the hell they are to tell me where I can spend those 63 days!!! I will give these f*d up monkey a call after the holidays and question them about it. What do you think? Isn't a contradiction here???

Australia, the worlds largest prison camp. It started out as a penal colony, haven't we progressed so far! At least the wardens give us 6 weeks parole ♡

CL acknowledges that carers need to take breaks and eligibility is 63 Days. respite days = taking a break. But it can't be o\seas, only 6 weeks. That's really sucks!

Sounds like were all in the same boat when it comes down to punitive actions, Roxane; but as a carer, isn't 6 weeks away better than nothing? I didn't even realize they were penalising carers as well, so good luck with it love:)) Cheetal...
